Matthew 28:18-19 – The Gift of Power
Matthew 28:18-19 says Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
When Jesus asks the disciples to tell the people about his resurrection, they must have wondered how they would be able to reach every person on earth. The answer is in Matthew 28:18-19 the risen Jesus claims power over all things in heaven and on earth. Jesus then goes on to claim that power over all human beings has been given to Him. This teaching is consistent with the teachings of the risen Christ. While his disciples are in a state of uncertainty about the nature of their own authority, the resurrected Lord is reaffirming his position of supreme ruler over creation.
The women were told by an angel to be the first messengers of the risen Christ. The angel commanded them to go and tell the people that He had been resurrected. They were the only ones who were publicly associated with Jesus. The angel assured them that they would see the resurrected Jesus in Galilee. They walked with him and saw His body. The women followed him to the tomb and proclaimed that He had been resurrected! (Matthew 28:5-8 NLT)
This authority is universal and unquestionably the Lord’s. When Jesus was preaching in Galilee, He was not yet with His Father. Now, He is a King. The risen Jesus is now the supreme authority, just as He was when He was with the Father. His power is greater now than ever, and everything must be subject to His power. This is what makes it so important for His followers to realize because everything is now subject to His authority. The resurrected Christ is bringing the Kingdom of God to earth. However, His followers must understand that the risen Christ has authority over the universe.
Share the Hope of Jesus
The Bible says “The nations will put their hope in his name.” Matthew 12:21 CSB
The gospel is good news, and God wants you to share it with others. But if you’re not sure what to say to those you meet, consider these tips. The Good News of Jesus is better than any cure for cancer, AIDS, or any other sickness. It offers eternal life, forgiveness for past sins, a purpose for living, and a home in heaven. But you don’t have to tell everyone about your life story.
When we share the hope of Jesus, we are encouraging other Christians to share their stories. We are called to make our faith personal and meaningful. We need to share the good news of Jesus with others so that they can understand what it means to put our hopes in Him. As Christians, we should never be ashamed to let others know about our experiences and the truth of our faith.
The Good News of Jesus is the most important news in the world today. There is little hope in this world. We live in a culture where people are too busy with money and high culture and don’t have faith and love. In such places, the Church is called to bring good news. This message teaches us about truth, redemption, hope, and beauty.
If You’re Not Fishing For People Then Your Not Following Jesus
Matthew 4:19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
If you’re not “fishing for people” then you’re not really following Jesus. The first step is to know the Bible well. The New Testament contains several quotations from the Bible. Some of the most prominent is found in the Gospel of Matthew. For example, the verse about the fishermen Simon Peter and Andrew is found in Matthew 4:19 (NKJV) Many Christians believe that Jesus’ words based on this proverb are the foundation for Christian evangelism.
The phrase “fishers of men” is the most well-known line of the New Testament and is considered the most significant metaphor for evangelism. It is also the first time that the Ichthys (a sign of the fish) was used as a symbol of Christianity. It has also been applied to Jesus. In fact, it’s second only to the image of the Shepherd.
What Does Sharing The Gospel Tell You About God’s Desire To Grow His Family
We live in a diverse world where people of different worldviews, faith traditions, and cultural backgrounds exist. Because of this, we must be flexible and adapt our message to fit the culture in which we live. Even the oldest material in the Bible is over two thousand years old and nobody living today was a part of the original culture. So, what does sharing the gospel tell us about God’s desire to grow his family?
Children are vulnerable in any situation. Violence and poverty can cause severe damage to children. The Bible points out that God singles out children without fathers or orphans. This is especially true of children living in extreme poverty with no social safety net. The Bible encourages us to take care of these vulnerable children and the more we do so, the more God will grow his family!
When sharing the Gospel, we should be sensitive to the culture of the other person. Many cultures and faith traditions have different values and perspectives. This does not mean that we should accept a culture or faith as the only way to worship God. Rather, we should seek to understand and respect the beliefs and practices of those around us. And remember that the only way we can share the gospel is through humility and the Spirit of God.
What Keeps You From Telling Other People About The Good News Of Jesus?
Romans 1:16 NIV “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
Sharing the Gospel is not always easy. It can be scary and even offensive to some. Many Christians choose to remain hidden or avoid evangelism because they fear losing face, friends, or even their own salvation. The Bible says that the human heart is blind to the gospel light. This means that we can only share the gospel with others when we are completely honest. However, this does not mean we should not share the Gospel with others.
Sharing the Good News about Jesus is important. It is the power of God. Without it, no one can be saved. The power of the Gospel lies in the fact that it is the primary means of salvation. The Bible does not mention any good works. Though philosophy and theology are interesting topics to discuss, sharing the Gospel requires the simple message of the Gospel and is straightforward in order to be believable.
The Bible teaches that Christians are to love other humans. In this regard, Christians are to share the Gospel with those who need it. It is important to remember that a person may not convert immediately to the Christian faith, but they will eventually come to believe in Jesus. In that case, you must be a strong source of encouragement and a patient person. This might take some time, but God’s timing is perfect.
Who Can You Tell This Week About the Hope You Have in Jesus?
The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:7 NLT “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.”
As a Christian, you know that you need to share the hope you have in Jesus with others. But how can you tell them? This is a challenging question. You may hear voices telling you to give up, or you may have a hard time letting go of the past. But remember this: God has called you to share this message with the world, and you should. No one can claim eternal life without knowing that it is available to all. It is better to point to eternal life than to cure physical illness. It means pointing others to the only hope they can have for forgiveness and a home in heaven
Our hope is in Christ Jesus did miracles and ordinances, and we can emulate his example. He lived a sinless life without sin, and he received all the attributes of God. We should be like him. In the gospel, he conquered the world, bridled every passion, and walked in the Spirit. This is how we can find eternal joy in this life and glory in the world to come.
The answer to that question is in Jesus. He is the answer to our problem. Our God wants us to live our lives with a confident expectation that tomorrow will be better than today. In the Bible, Jesus is the answer to our questions. If you have hope in him, then you have hope in him and you are secure. It is an anchor for our soul and keeps us strong in the storms of life.
When Was the Last Time You Shared the Hope You Have in Jesus?
When was the last time you shared with someone about the hope you have in Jesus? You may be too embarrassed or scared to do it. You may not know what to say. It is okay to be vulnerable, and it is good for you to be prepared to answer questions and explain your faith in a respectful way. However, you should be ready to defend your faith if someone asks you.
One way to share the hope we have in Jesus is to live a godly life. Christians can easily come off as hypocrites, but we can prove them wrong by living a godly lifestyle. It is important to reach out to those in need and be there for them. When you share your faith with others, you demonstrate that you have a deep relationship with God. When you’re a Christian, you’ll always be a friend to those around you, and they’ll remember you for it.
When was the last time you shared with someone about your hope in Jesus? If you’ve lost a loved one, you can’t say goodbye. You don’t know why they died, but you know the big picture. Your loved one lived in a world that is cursed with sin. Then, you’ll understand why they suffered. When you do share your faith, you’re showing your faith and proving it to others.
How Your Love For Christ Motivates You to Share the Gospel
The Gospel is not only about saving the world but also about sharing the love of Christ. Jesus said that we should not hide what He has done for us. He said that we should tell others what He has done for us. He said we should love those who are lost and show them his mercy. If we have a heart for the lost, we should share his message with them.
The Gospel is not just about the Word of God. It is a relationship with Christ. He died for us by his grace, and he lived it through us. Knowing this, we are motivated to live for Him and to serve others. This response to God’s grace is the motivation to share the Gospel. The Bible teaches that our love for Christ should inspire us to do the same.
As Christians, we should live in a world where sin is the number one enemy. As a result, we should care about the lost, but do not worry about their salvation for it is God’s job. Our job is to share the gospel. As Christians, we should not be afraid of sharing the Gospel. We should not hide it. We need to know our love for Christ. Without it, we are not Christians.
Conclusion
Love, Share, Invite
Do you feel a particular sense of urgency when you see someone who needs the Gospel? Maybe you’re concerned about a loved one who’s gone to hell or is experiencing an illness. Perhaps you’re a parent or a child whose death is difficult to hear. Whatever the case, the love of God is the best motivation to share the Gospel with others.
In a recent broadcast, President Ballard taught the “Love, Share, Invite” principles of sharing the gospel. The program featured a discussion among the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and was moderated by Bonnie H. Cordon. In addition, video stories from members of the Church illustrated the three principles of sharing the Gospel. The apostle Paul said, “Our love for God compels us to share the gospel.” (2 Corinthians 5:14 NIV) If you’re passionate about sharing the Gospel, you’ll be motivated by God’s love.
The love of God drives us to share the Gospel with the world. If we want to make a difference, we need to know that Jesus is the only way out. This is why we are called to be His ambassadors. By sharing the Gospel, we represent Christ in words and actions. We are ambassadors of Christ, (2 Corinthians 5:20) and that means that we are responsible for letting others know about the Savior’s message.
