Today’s Superverse is Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our [a]griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But Jesus never sinned right he was Innocent God did not punish him for Sinning Oh hello there Bible buddies I was just Thinking about today’s super verse it is Another verse from the book of Isaiah You remember Isaiah right we talked About him a few super verses ago oh yeah Look at that prophet he prophesied about Jesus’s death way before it happened yep That is him but I have to admit just Looking at this verse alone it is a Little confusing let us read the super Verse together so I can show you what I Mean Today’s super versus Isaiah 53 4. it Reads yet it was our weaknesses he Carried it was our sorrows that weighed Him down and we thought his troubles Were a punishment from God a punishment For his own sins Now do you see why I was confused yeah Pretty confusing turns out that back in Jesus’s time people thought that if bad Things happened to you it was because God was punishing you for your sin and Death on the cross would have been the Worst kind of punishment full of Shame And very painful but if we keep reading Into verse 5 we see that God was not Punishing Jesus because of Any sin that He committed instead he died for our Sins carried our weakness and took on The weight of all our punishment wow
