Today’s Superverse is Proverbs 6:20 – My son, keep your father’s command
    and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
When children obey their parents, it is a sign of respect for them and the Lord. Children who don’t obey their parents are a sign of rebellion against the Lord.
Taking care of your parents is an important responsibility. In the Old Testament, disobedience to your parents was punished with death. But God has a good plan for your life and for your parents.
Parents are great teachers. They teach children how to live a life of safety and security. Young people who listen to their parents are rewarded with great joy.
The Bible has several commands for children to obey their parents. One of these commands is Ephesians 6:1. It says that children must obey their parents.
Another example of a command to obey parents is Colossians 3:20. This verse says that children must obey their parents because it pleases God.
The same Scripture tells us that those who don’t obey their parents are worse off in life. Those who don’t obey their parents will be ungrateful, unholy, and boastful.
Proverbs 13:1 tells us that a wise son obeys his father. Similarly, Proverbs 30:17 describes the consequences of disrespecting your parents.
Among the Ten Commandments, honoring your parents is the first one with a promise. It is also the first one in the scripture that you can be sure of.
The first step in achieving success is to listen to your parents and obey their advice. You can also ask for their help. Regardless of how young you are, it is crucial to talk to your parents and confess any sins you may have committed. Your parents know you better than anyone else.
