God promises eternal life, did you know that? This is a gift that we can only earn through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He cannot lie, so if we trust in Him, we can enjoy eternal life. But how do we receive eternal life? We must believe in His promise that He will fulfill His promises and change us! And the best way to do that is to believe in Jesus Christ, the Savior.
God Has Promised Eternal Life
1 John 2:25, NKJV. “And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.”
For centuries, people have sought the Eternal Life. But not everyone is blessed to enter it. Those who accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ receive forgiveness for their sins, are adopted into God’s family, and are guaranteed a place in Heaven for eternity. This promise is reflected in the letter of John, written decades after Jesus’ death. But what exactly does eternal life mean? Here are some of the key points to understand this promise.
By Grace We Are Saved
Ephesians 2:8-9Â ESV For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
What does it mean to have eternal life? According to the Bible, only those who have accepted Christ as Savior and believe in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. But how do you know for sure that God’s promises are true? Here are some of the ways to ensure that you have eternal life. The first thing to do is to memorize these promises. God is faithful. God will never break his promises. You’ll be glad you did when you find out how He promised you eternal life.
First, Jesus promised us eternal life. Jesus died and rose again to make sure we would be able to live. We are spirits in a temporary body. The eternal life we will experience will be awesome. That is why we can rest assured that we will be reunited with God. If we trust this promise, we will have the peace and security that we’ve been seeking. But what will we look like when we’re in eternal life?
Second, we must believe that eternal life is a gift from God. Only those who believe in Jesus can enjoy eternal life. But, it’s important to note that this salvation is not a gift of self. It is by Grace that we have been saved through faith. We must receive it through faith. And you’re guaranteed eternal life if you trust in Jesus. And, you’ll be forever grateful for believing in Him.
The Promise of Eternal Life Was Given to Believers Only
John 3:16Â ESV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
The word “eternal” comes from the Greek word aionios and means “age-long, perpetual, and everlasting.” This word does not refer to the future in the traditional sense, but to the quality of age. Therefore, believers are living in “eternal life” right now. This idea is consistent throughout John’s letter and Gospel. Here’s what this means for you:
The promise of eternal life was given to believers only. We can’t acquire it from the world, but we can obtain it from God. The promise is only given to believers. The promise is found in the book of 1 John. The Bible says that the promise was given by God sometime in the past.
The Spirit of God is Indwelt By True Believers
Romans 8:16Â ESV The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
The Spirit of God is indwelt by true believers, giving them the confidence to understand the teachings of Jesus. The Father and Son are inseparable. To reject Jesus is to reject the Father as well. On the other hand, accepting the Son means that you will live forever in union with the Father and the Son and will receive eternal life. So, we are never alone! Our eternal life depends on the truth of what Jesus taught.
If the person believes in Jesus, he will receive eternal life. If not, he will be condemned along with everyone else. The promise of eternal life is the hope that God gave to us. So, the only way to obtain eternal life is to believe in Jesus. The promise is made in the Bible. It is written in the Bible that Jesus came into the world to save the world and that if we believe in Him, we will be saved from sin.
The Promise of Eternal Life Is Very Important
Romans 6:23Â ESV For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 17:3Â ESV And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
John 3:36Â ESV Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.
The promise of eternal life is very important. Eternal life is God’s promise that we will have fellowship with the Father and Son forever. This is a foretaste of the eternal fellowship we will have with our Father and Son. In the meantime, we have fellowship with the Son and the Father.
As we know, the human race was created to be the bride of Christ. It would be a body, a soul, and a spirit, as Christ was, and live forever with God. But, after man sinned, sin entered the world, and death followed. Despite our desire for immortality, we are still subject to sin. God’s grace has never failed us.
We must be sure to do what God says. His Words speak only out of his character. Therefore, if we are committed to obeying God’s will, we will be able to live in eternity. And, once we have done the will of the Father, we will live forever. So, what are we waiting for?
Eternal Life Is Experiencing The Presence of God
Eternal life is experiencing the presence of God. For believers, this experience is a daily encounter with God, through spiritual fellowship. As believers, we will grow in spiritual wisdom, and we will become more like Christ. Eternal life is the promise that God made to us! When we obey the Word of God, we will live forever. Then, we will be resurrected in our body, minus our sinful nature.
The word eternal comes from the Hebrew word “eternal.” It literally means “to the vanishing point.” The term is literal and has no other meaning than “eternal life.” If we believe in the existence of a future Messiah, then we must also believe that Jesus was born from the vanishing point. The Jewish people do not deny the existence of a future Messiah. In Micah’s prophecy, Micah announced Jesus’ birth. He said to Bethlehem, “this coming forth is from everlasting.”
Romans 10:9-11
The gospel is the good news that you can have eternal life in Christ. But what exactly is eternal life? And why does God promise it? In Romans 10:9-11, Paul explains that it is the righteousness of God that is revealed to us through faith which excludes the works of the law. It is through faith that we receive God’s righteousness, and by faith, we are justified.
We Have An Eternal Hope Through Jesus
We have eternal hope through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” While we may not live forever, the promise is real and unbreakable. God’s goodness overflows when we are in tune with His nature, which is love. Because of his love, God sent His only Son to earth to die for our sins. In return, God promises eternal life to those who believe in His Son.
John 10:28-30
We have been promised eternal life by God, but we are not able to achieve it in our fleshly state. The word redemption refers to transferring from slavery to freedom, emancipating slaves, and buying back something in someone else’s power. Man is a slave to his own sins, fears, and helplessness, and the sacrifice of Christ makes us free from this condition. Jesus Christ, the savior of man, is our only hope. He transfers our condemnation to forgiveness. We deserve the judgment of God, but we know there is a way home.
