Moses and His Leadership of the Israelites
Moses embodied many qualities that are still important today — such as courage, faith, and leadership skills.
In addition, he was a good listener. He encouraged his people to be moral and honest, and he encouraged them to respect other cultures. He also taught them how to live in obedience to God’s laws.
Throughout his life, Moses faced numerous challenges. However, he never lost his faith. He always trusted in God to provide the strength needed to meet each challenge.
He did this through the power of the Holy Spirit (John 15:7). He also believed in the principle that leaders should share the burden of responsibility with others so that everyone could benefit from the work.
The Bible describes several times when Moses struggled with his own weaknesses. Most often, it was a physical problem such as being tired from the work of resolving disputes for an entire nation. He eventually asked Jethro for help.
