2 Corinthians 5:10 – Good Or Bad?
In our day, we often look at whether a thing is good or bad, but 2 Corinthians 5:10 makes it clear that there are things that are both. We must be careful about what we do, even the most mundane things that we do every day.
If we do them with a good reason, we can consider them to be good and worthy of praise. If we do them for selfish reasons, then we can consider them to be bad and deserving of disgrace and punishment.
We must be careful about our actions because they will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ. At that time, the Lord will evaluate our works and reward us accordingly.
Therefore, we must be very careful about what we do, especially when it comes to our actions with others. This is why Paul tells the church in Corinth that they should not accept the fellowship of those who persistently commit flagrant sin, even if they claim to be Christians.
Those who persist in their sins will be thrown out of the church. It is for their own benefit and ours to keep them from becoming part of a church that could be destroyed by them.
Paul also tells the Christians in Corinth that he may be killed for preaching about Jesus, but he wants to continue doing what God has called him to do. That fact gives him the strength to carry on, and to share the gospel with others.
