This animated Bible story for kids tells the story of Naaman being healed.
Biblical passages: 2 King 5 .
Despite his leprosy and his great military power, Naaman’s faith is tested by a variety of people. He expects a miraculous cure, and he is prepared to do a dangerous thing. However, God answers his faith with a miracle.
This story demonstrates that healing from a dreaded disease is available to anyone who trusts in God. Several messengers from God are used. A young captive slave girl is first.
She has heard about a prophet in Samaria who can cure leprosy. Her husband is an army commander. The woman risks dismissal if she is caught carrying the message.
As a commander, Naaman was highly regarded. In fact, he was second in command to the king. Nevertheless, his disease, leprosy, interfered with his status in society.
It isn’t difficult to understand why Naaman came to the king of Israel for help. His faith in Elisha’s abilities drew him to him, and he was able to be healed.
But this wasn’t the end of the story. Naaman returned to Elisha with a retinue. After his visit, the man of God supported Naaman’s faith journey. Eventually, he came to realize that his faith moved the heart of God.
As a result, he became convinced that Elisha was the true God. When he offered to pay for the healing, Elisha refused. Instead, he said the healing was a gift from God.
Ultimately, the story is a reminder that those who try to profit from God are defiled. However, it also illustrates various good and evil persuasions.
