4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
In life, there are many challenges and difficulties that come our way. When they come we need to believe in God’s protection and his promises that He is with us and will not allow them to steal our joy.
The Psalmist compares the Lord’s protection of His children to the protection a mother eagle gives her chicks. The eagle covers her young with feathers, which are symbolic of the Lord’s covering of His people with His wings.
God will not let any evil or plague befall you nor will any calamity befall your home. This promise is very important and should be embraced by the believer in Jesus Christ.
There are several ways God protects His people from all kinds of calamity that may arise in their lives. Some of these ways include:

Every evil and calamity that comes in your life can be a sign from God to show that he is watching over you and will not let anything happen to you that will cause him harm. He will provide you with all the necessary resources to stand against the enemy.
He will also provide you with the strength to get through whatever situation you are in.
You will have the peace and rest that is only found in a God who is with you and who loves you, no matter what happens.
This is a very powerful promise that you need to hold onto, especially when you are under attack from the enemies of your life. There are times that you can see them scheming against you, but when you know that God is with you and protecting you, you will be able to stand against them in Jesus name.
