Colossians 3:11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
Paul’s teaching on the unity of believers in Colossians 3:11 is a powerful call to Christians to set their hearts and minds on things that are true, pure, lovely, and honorable. As such, it has far-reaching implications for the church as a whole.
The Bible teaches that Jesus was the image of the invisible God, and he is the firstborn of all creation (Romans 1:3; John 1:2-3). He created all things in the universe. He is the head of the church, and He is the final authority in all matters concerning God’s plan for humanity.
He was willing to humble Himself and die on the cross, so that He could have the supremacy in all things. He has all power and authority from God the Father, and He is working to head up all things in the heavenly realms.
His glory has no boundaries, and it includes everything in the heavens and on the earth. He is the source of all spiritual and eternal goodness, and he bears all the fruit for healing, peace, safety, and plenty in the nations.
Moreover, the new creation in Christ is not made in a way that makes distinctions of race and gender. It is a renewal in which there is no longer Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but it is based on the Lord Jesus Christ.
