The love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord – Romans 8:38-39

When you are facing trials, it is a good idea to read the Bible and find encouragement in the fact that your Heavenly Father is watching over you. There are many verses in the Bible that focus on God’s love and how much He cares for you.

Number one: The love of God is a particular, sovereign, and effective lovingkindness (see Deuteronomy 5:6-8; 1 John 4:8-11). It is a saving love, not a sentimental love. It is a love for those who are in Christ, and who, by faith, trust him to save them from the consequences of their sins.

This passage from the apostle Paul is an eloquent reminder that our great, powerful, and holy God has chosen us to be His. He loves us and plans to use us in ways we cannot begin to imagine.
