The Walls of Jericho (Joshua 5)
Here are the faithful, his name is Joshua. Joshua was the leader of the Israelites, whom God used to lead his people to the Promised Land. When God told Joshua that it was time to take the Promised Land, Joshua sent spies to the city of Jericho. While those spies were in Jericho, they were protected by a spies named Rahab who had promised to save Rahab and her family when they took back the land, and she hung a scarlet cord from her window to remind them of her promise.
The Israelites crossed the Jordan and camped near the city of Jericho. One day Joshua looked at Marah and a man was standing in a line in front of him. The man said that I am the commander of the Lord’s army. Joshua asked what the man wanted to tell him, and the Lord said that he wanted Joshua to take the iron city of Jericho, but that Joshua should follow his instructions.
Exactly the young Jericho was closed for fear of the heroine of the Israelites, eh yes, nobody left and nobody entered, so the Lord told Joshua to gather his soldier and march around the city for six days where the priests would bring the ark. of the covenant and seven priests would go for him. Blow a ram’s horn on the seventh day. They had to march around the city seven times and honk their horns.
Then all the people of Israel would give a great cry, then one, and then the walls of the city would fall. Well, yes they do. Joshua said to shout because the Lord has given them the city and the people have rained and the walls have collapsed. The Israelites took the city of Jericho, as God had commanded to pray, how they remembered Rahab for her faithfulness. Joshua was faithful in keeping God’s commandments, and the Israelites took many other cities, as God had told them, because God will never stop fulfilling his promises.
So the Israelites came to live in the land that God had promised them. Abraham Isaac, Israel, Joseph and Moses many years ago.
