Bible Reading – How Do We Magnify the Lord?
Bible Reading Psalm 34:1 says “I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. In Psalm 34, David declares: “Come and magnify the Lord with me.” This demonstrates that David’s relationship with God was profound, and he desired to know the inner details of the one who made him great. The only way to know those details is to be magnified.
The words that appear in verse five indicate that the phrase means to rejoice. When the verses are read together, it means that God has delivered David. The word “excited” can either be an imperative or an exhortation. The verb can also mean “exceedingly glad.” Both expressions refer to a joy that arises from a true knowledge of the divine. The resulting feeling of joy is often described as a form of worship.
When we praise the Lord, we do so with all of our hearts and minds. When we hear the song of Mary, we seek to understand the words she heard from the angel. By doing so, we honor the promise that she made. As we do this, we are praising God for His goodness. We praise Him by giving thanks to him. We should not forget to magnify the Lord through our actions, which are part of our worship.

The word “magnify” comes from the Hebrew verb gadal, Strong’s number 1431, and means “to make great.” The Young’s Literal Translation translates it as, ‘to be greater.’ During biblical times, the word “magnify” could be misleading, so the word “exalt” may be more appropriate. When used in this context, however, the term is clearly referring to the Lord.
When speaking of the name of God, it refers to His authority and reputation. This can be emphasized in the phrase, “to magnify the Lord.” For example, the NASB translation translates the verse as ‘God has magnified His word in all its authority.’ This may be an overtone of the Hebrew meaning, but the emphasis is the same. Regardless of the translation, this phrase conveys a sense of the relationship between God and man.
The king’s desire to exalt himself is a manifestation of his own pride. He prized self-sufficiency above the God of his fathers, and he despised himself and his father’s. Without a real feeling of gratitude to God, man will not feel genuine gratitude for him or his Savior. As a result, he will never be able to truly magnify the Lord.

Here are a few ways on How to Magnify God. Using your whole mind to appreciate the great deeds of God is a powerful way to worship and magnify God. Mary was one of the earliest believers who sought to understand the angel’s message and the great things He had done for her and Israel. Her response was based on faith and resting in the promises given to her by God.
When we praise the Lord for His goodness, we glorify Him and praise His name. Mary rejoices in the fact that God saved her, not in her own goodness. She does not stop celebrating because of her apprehension about God. Instead, she magnifies the Lord by explaining to the angels that she was a servant of the king. But in the midst of her joy, she humbly acknowledges that she is a servant of God.
As a child of God, we must praise the Lord for everything He has done for us. Our joy should not be in ourselves but in Him. Our faith is our hope. Without Christ, we cannot trust in our ability to praise the Lord, so we must seek God’s help with our praise. When we worship the Lord, we are a joyful people. We will worship Him with song and thanksgiving.
Mary’s song is an excellent example of how to magnify God. As we read the story of her pregnancy, she sought to understand everything that the angel told her, from her greeting to her question. Yet she still responded in faith, resting in the promise of God. Here are a few other ways to magnify God. These examples are also great ways to start the week. Let’s consider each one in turn.
Serving the people around you is another way to magnify God. This can be done in simple ways such as opening doors for the elderly, carrying stuff for the homeless, or offering to give someone a ride. A Christian must always be honest and avoid corruption of any kind. This will help the people around him see the goodness in them. The Bible says that we should obey the law, even when it conflicts with our conscience.
It is very important to remember that God has the power to do all things. We can praise Him through our actions. Our actions are important, too, so we must be willing to do them. For example, in Luke 1:48, Mary declares her joy in God because her life has saved her from poverty. This is an important reminder to be humble and not to boast about our own goodness. After all, Mary is a servant of the Lord, and we should be grateful for the Lord’s favor.
