Storms Have Limits – Every Storm Has An End (Psalm 107:29-30) NIV

Have you ever driven in the middle of a strong storm? Then you drive a light vehicle. He is scary. Imagine, the trees bending left and right due to the gust of wind. Various objects were flying and the car was still shaking due to the pressure of the strong wind. All you hope for is to get accommodation as soon as able to be done. That’s the reason why you pray repeatedly, “Lord, take care of me, help me and lead me home please.”ย

Whether an actual typhoon or a trial of life, we cannot escape it. Fortunately, there are insights in Psalm 107: 29-30 that can increase our faith and encourage us to face any storm.

INSIGHT 1. It is the Lord who will tell our storm to โ€œBe Still.โ€ Even if it seems like high waves are swallowing us, let’s not forget that the wind and waves follow the Lord. With just one word from the King of Nature, all chaos stops.

INSIGHT 2. Every storm has an end. Not all the time the clouds are dark and the rain is heavy. The storm will also subside. The sun will also shine. Did you know that a storm can last from twelve to two hundred hours? The storm we are going through may last longer than others have gone through. But let us not look at the length of the storm; let’s look to God who knows the end from the beginning.

INSIGHT 3. We are not storm-free but storm-proof. We will make it through the storm, but it doesn’t mean that there won’t be another storm. But even if another storm comes, remember that God has equipped us for the storm. We will end up stronger in the Lord after the storm. Think about this: How can we experience the help of God the Father if we are not in danger? How can we find the light if it is not dark? How can we experience the stability of the Lord’s promises if they are not tested? Storms reveal our weaknesses and God’s strength!

LET’S PRAY
Lord, thank you and You are stronger than the storm I am experiencing. Thanks, and it will be quiet too. You will put together all things pleasant and beautiful, in Your period of time, Thank you and you strengthen me. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
