Today’s SuperVerse is John 15:9 – “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love”.
Remain in God’s Love – John 15:9
The great, beautiful love of our heavenly Father has been the source of Jesus’ joy. This love is a perfect bond of relationship between the Father and the Son. It is a love that has existed for eternity past and will exist forever.
It has been demonstrated again and again, tested over and over, to make sure that it was real and not just an illusion. It carries mercy and judgment in equal measure.
If we can believe this, we can trust that same love in our own lives. It’s the same love that cried out for us on Calvary’s cross.
Those who choose to live in that same love are the ones who will be able to withstand all the trials, tribulations, and afflictions this world throws their way. They are those who can see through the lies of pride and false teaching, who don’t get sucked into the world’s narrative and proud teachers.
They are those who can see the truth in all God’s commands and warnings, and they know that He will not turn them away from His ways because of their failures or weaknesses.
They are those who are abiding in the love of the Father, in the Son, and in the Holy Spirit. This is the only way they can truly bear good fruit for God’s glory.
