Gizmo’s Daily Bible Byte – How to See God – Matthew 5:8

Today’s Super Verse is Matthew 5:8 – How to See God!

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus speaks of how to see God. He uses the beatitudes, which are a series of short two-line statements. The beatitudes describe the world’s reaction to children of God.

Christ is announcing that those who have a true relationship with God will be filled with joy. Their hearts will be filled with righteousness and they will be able to see the Lord in their Messiah. When they see the Lord, they will be able to enjoy Him in heaven.

A true child of God is a person who lives in the kingdom of heaven. As a result of this, they have begun to realize the mercy of God. They will also begin to show mercy to others. This will cause the Lord to grant more mercy to them.

A person who has a true relationship with God will be free from hypocrisy. They will be a friend with others who are quarreling with each other. Those who are in God’s kingdom will see him as their Friend, their Judge, and their benefactor.

Those who are truly happy will not seek their own personal fulfillment but will desire to do God’s will. Their lives will be filled with love and righteousness. Ultimately, they will long to be with their heavenly Father.

Those who have a real relationship with God are now a part of the eternal kingdom of heaven. As a result, they have no need to live in the temporal material realm.
