Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me) – Romans 6:4

“Glorious Day” is a popular Christian worship song that speaks of the joy and hopes that we have in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The song is based on several Bible verses, including Romans 6:4, which says, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”

In this passage, Paul reveals what happens when a sinner receives Jesus Christ as Lord. The result is that the believer is now in a state of the newness of life, and that means that he can no longer be compelled by sin to do anything evil. This is a great truth about the Christian life because it shows how powerfully God’s grace works in the lives of those who trust in Jesus.

The Glory of the Resurrection

“Glory” (1391) is an adjective meaning to give a proper opinion or estimate, in this case of the glory of God as seen in the resurrection of Jesus. It is also used to describe God’s power or ability. This is what is meant when Paul says that the resurrection of Jesus gives a proper apprehension of God’s unchanging nature and perfection.

Unlike any other event in human history, the resurrection of Jesus Christ is an event that takes place outside the normal time frame of the world. It is a day that changes the course of human history and brings about a new way of being in the world.

It is a day of hope and rejoicing that the Lord has not left us to die, but is still in control of all things. It is a day of praise and thanksgiving for the fact that God is able to rescue sinners from their sinful condition and make them into new creations in Jesus.

The Glory of Christ’s Resurrection

The resurrection of Jesus was a day of joy for the apostles, who knew that their Lord had not been killed in vain and would rise again from the dead. It was a day of rejoicing for the church as well, because the day of resurrection meant that the Lord had won the war against sin and death.

As the church celebrates this resurrection day, it is important to remember the fact that Jesus remained in the tomb for three days after his crucifixion and then came out of the grave on a Sunday morning! It is a day that is not only important to remember but to treasure.

We Need to Restore the Celebration of the Sunday

The reason that the Christian church continues to celebrate the day of the week is that it points back to the salvation of Jesus Christ. The first Christians were called to assemble on Sundays to worship the Lord and receive his instruction, to break the bread and to lay gifts. This was the time when Jesus came to be a servant, and it is also the day that Jesus arose from the dead.

It was a day of glory for the Christians and it is a day of glory for the rest of the world as well, because of the great work that God did in the resurrection of His Son from the dead. This is why the Christian church calls the day of the week the “glorious day” and it is also why we are given this day to celebrate our Lord’s resurrection.

In conclusion, “Glorious Day” is a beautiful and powerful worship song that speaks of the hope and joy that we have in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. As we sing these words, may we be reminded of the incredible love and sacrifice that He made for us, and may our hearts be filled with gratitude and worship for all that He has done.
