4 Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your [a]forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 6 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are [b]honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are [c]of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, [d]think on these things. 9 The things which ye both learned and received and heard and saw in me, these things do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Talk to God About Your Needs – Philippians 4:4-9
When we are facing trials, it is natural to worry, fret, and churn over what is going on. If we don’t remember that the Lord is near, these negative feelings can take over and make us feel like everything is out of control.
The Bible tells us that we should talk to God about all our needs. We should do this by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. This will bring the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds.
Why is it important to talk to God about our needs?
We should pray about all our needs because God is a God of love. He has promised to provide all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
There is nothing that can be more satisfying than knowing that the Lord will provide for your needs. In this way, you will have joy no matter what happens in your life.
You will be able to enjoy the fruits of the Spirit which are patience, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. These are gifts of the Spirit that we must develop if we are to live a life that pleases God.
In order for the believer to experience the peace of God they must first stop worrying and then turn their cares over to Him. Then they will be able to focus on things that are right and good. This will draw their attention away from negative thoughts and surroundings, which in turn will give them the peace that passes all understanding.
